Human Resources Manager (NOC: 0112)

The Post Hotel & Spa is a Relais and Chateaux property chosen by Travel and Leisure Magazine 2019 as one of the top ten resorts in Canada! We are located in Lake Louise, Alberta in the heart of the world-famous Banff National Park.

Responsibilities:

• Publish and update job ads on careers pages
• Schedule & conduct interviews
• Maintain employee records (e.g. visas, housing, etc)
• Screen resumes and job applications
• Ensure proper communication to all employees regarding updated notices, policies, announcements, etc
• Ensure that all staff are acting in accordance with company policies
• Update internal databases with new hires’ data (e.g. contact details and meal/housing plans)
• Assist with pre-training and provide new hires with training materials
• Store, copy and scan company policies
• Address employees’ queries
• Perform end of employment inspections and exit interviews
• Supervise & manage employee housing, including maintenance and cleanliness
• Other duties as requested by guests and/or management

Skills requirements: 

• Extensive experience in full-cycle recruitment
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with line managers
• Self-direction when completing projects and an ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to organize tasks efficiently and to handle unexpected events
• Comfortable with disciplinary and/or termination practices
• Understanding of the Alberta Employment Standards Code and Tenancy Act
• Understanding of Canadian immigration procedures an asset.

 Education:  Completion of post-secondary education with a focus in business administration or human resource management

Work experience:  3-5 years of related experience, experience in hospitality a definite asset

Other:  Computer literate (MS Office – Outlook, Word and Excel); Driver’s license

Important:

Due to our location in Banff National Park, the Post Hotel provides all employees with staff housing. For this reason, we are unable to accommodate potential candidates who have families with children.

Terms of employment:  Permanent/Full Time (40 hours/week)

Wage:  $4500.00 to start (probation)

Staff Accommodation Available:  Studio apartment starting at $680/month, utilities inlcuded, 2 staff meals.
