The ideal candidate will bring two to three years of relevant HR experience, hands-on Dayforce or other HRIS exposure, strong Excel and reporting skills, and the ability to provide reliable support to managers, employees, and the HR team. This role works closely with the Senior Manager, HR Operations and the Head of HR, and requires sound judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately. POSITION: HR Business Partner, Maternity Cover EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time Temporary ( 1 year Maternity Leave ) LOCATION: Sussex REPORTING TO: Sr. Manager, Human Resources Operations CRIMINAL CHECK REQUIRED: Yes START DATE: August 17, 2026 ANNUAL SALARY($): $64,000 HOURS: 40 Hrs/week, including 1-hour unpaid lunch per day SCHEDULE: Hybrid working from office 3 times a week BENEFITS: No About the Role What You’ll Do Support day-to-day HR activities by tracking requests, following up on assigned items, monitoring timelines, and helping ensure HR workflows are completed accurately and on time. Work closely with the HR team on coordination, reporting, system updates, and follow-up requirements as required Assist with employee lifecycle workflows, including employment changes, documentation requests, training administration, supervisors’ follow-ups, and related HR transactions. Support HR initiatives, committees, employee engagement activities, Social Committee activities, and JHSC activities by assisting with logistics, communications, attendance lists, action items, trackers, and follow-up reporting. HRIS Systems & Process Support Provide Dayforce support for routine navigation, workflow, and process questions from employees, supervisors, and managers, including manager assignments, corrections, GL splits, time-off requests, form submissions, onboarding tasks, checklist follow-up, and document uploads. Create, update, and maintain job titles, positions, reporting relationships, employee profile information, employment documents, and related Dayforce records based on approved requests and established HR processes. Document Dayforce issues, open and track support tickets, monitor outstanding system items, and coordinate follow-up with internal stakeholders and the HR team. Identify recurring Dayforce or HR process issues and recommend updates to checklists, templates, trackers, communications, or training materials to improve consistency and efficiency. Reporting, Data Accuracy & HR Insights Run Dayforce and Excel-based reports, validate information, prepare summaries, and maintain trackers to support HR operations, workforce data, compliance follow-up, and management reporting. Monitor data accuracy in Dayforce and HR records by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, missing documentation, or incomplete transactions and following up with managers, employees, or HR team members as required. Support HR metrics, audit preparation, and compliance tracking by preparing regular updates, identifying overdue items, and escalating risks or data concerns as required. Use reporting and system insights to support workflow improvements, reduce manual tracking, and strengthen standardized HR processes. Support role creation, posting preparation, and job description coordination by ensuring approved job information is accurately reflected in Dayforce and related HR documentation. Additional Support Perform additional HR support duties as required to support departmental goals and organizational priorities. What You Bring Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Two to three years of experience in HR coordination, HRIS/Dayforce support, employee lifecycle administration, reporting, or a related HR support role. Hands-on Dayforce experience is preferred and considered a strong asset, including employee records, workflows, position or job data, document uploads, reporting, and manager/employee self-service functionality. Systems-oriented with the ability to troubleshoot routine HRIS questions, document process gaps, follow established workflows, and escalate issues appropriately. Advanced Excel and reporting skills, with strong attention to data accuracy and the ability to prepare, maintain, and analyze trackers, summaries, reports, and operational updates. Strong administrative, organizational, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, HR workflows, and confidential information. Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, confidential, service-oriented, and solutions-focused approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook calendar management, Teams, and shared document systems. Ability to recognize when matters require escalation, including employee relations, compliance, compensation, leave, performance, or sensitive workplace matters.
