About the role
- The Senior Manager, Global Benefits leads the strategy, design, and governance of Shift4’s global benefits programs across all regions to ensure alignment with the company’s Total Rewards philosophy, regulatory requirements, and global growth objectives
- This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and external brokers to develop competitive, compliant, and scalable benefits programs that support employee well-being, manage risk, and optimize cost. The Senior Global Benefits Manager oversees global health, welfare, retirement, and risk programs, ensuring operational excellence and consistency across 30+ countries
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and insured risk benefits across all regions
- Oversee annual benefits renewals, vendor negotiations, and broker partnerships to ensure competitive positioning and cost discipline
- Manage global benefits governance, including compliance with local labor laws, statutory requirements, and multinational pooling arrangements
- Partner with Finance to forecast and manage global benefits costs, including trend analysis, stop-loss strategy, and renewal modeling
- Lead benefits integration efforts for acquisitions, ensuring seamless transition and alignment to Shift4’s benefits framework
- Develop and maintain global benefits policies and documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across geographies
- Partner with HR Business Partners to advise on local benefits practices, employee inquiries, and country-specific requirements
- Monitor regulatory developments and market trends (e.g., EU directives, pension reforms, healthcare cost trends) and provide strategic recommendations
- Oversee benefits administration processes and ensure accuracy, vendor performance, and service quality
- Support employee communication and education efforts related to benefits programs
- Drive global benefits harmonization initiatives where appropriate while balancing local regulatory and market realities

- 7+ years of progressive experience in global benefits or total rewards, with direct experience managing multi-country programs
- Experience in a high-growth, global technology or payments environment preferred
- Experience working with multinational brokers (e.g., Mercer, WTW, Aon) and global pooling arrangements
- Strong project management skills, particularly in global rollouts or M&A integration
- Strong financial acumen with experience in benefits cost forecasting and trend analysis
- Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks and statutory benefit requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex benefits information into clear guidance
- Strong understanding of global health, welfare, retirement, and risk benefit structures
