Role Description The Business Development Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Brampton, ON, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting market research, and generating qualified leads across target industries and sectors. The specialist will build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, present tailored service offerings, and support contract negotiations in collaboration with leadership. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, preparing proposals and presentations, tracking performance metrics, and coordinating with recruitment and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The role also involves providing responsive customer service, gathering feedback to enhance solutions, and contributing to strategic initiatives that expand HNR Solutions Inc.’s market presence. Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, assess business opportunities, and monitor sales performance. Excellent communication skills for client outreach, presentations, proposals, and cross-functional collaboration. Proven experience in lead generation, including prospecting, cold outreach, and pipeline management. Ability to conduct structured market research to identify trends, target sectors, and competitive positioning. Customer service skills to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain long-term client relationships. Previous experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in staffing, consulting, or professional services. Comfort with CRM tools, Microsoft Office or similar productivity software, and basic data reporting. Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work effectively in a hybrid environment with minimal supervision. Knowledge of diversity and inclusion initiatives or government-recognized workforce programs is an asset.
