Human Resources Systems Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Human Resources Systems Coordinator

**SALARY RANGE: $**59,149 – $78,225

HIRING RANGE: **$**59,149 – $75,493

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Coordinator provides a high level of customer

service to employees, leadership and external service insurance providers. The HRIS Systems

Coordinator will interact with and provide information to Management, Human Resources, Payroll,

Information Technology Services, employees, external benefits Trust providers and other groups as

needed related to the Human Resources Information Systems, Benefit and Pension information.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides a high level of customer service related to HRIS systems

  • Produces detailed monthly analysis of absence coding, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement

  • Ensures accuracy, reliability, and integrity of absence, attendance, and payroll-related data to mitigate organizational, financial, and compliance risk

  • Develops and delivers training on Human Resource Systems

WORK PERFORMED:

  • Acts as a contact for key HRIS systems by phone, email or in person to troubleshoot issues for employees

  • Analyze and interprets absence and attendance data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to HR leadership and stakeholders across internal and external partners.

  • Exercises independent judgment in resolving complex HRIS and absence reporting system issues without direct supervision

  • Researches and resolves issues related to data and completing calculations to ensure data accuracy

  • Supports change management activities related to system or process modifications, including communication, testing, and stakeholder coordination

  • Collaborates with the benefit providers to process and communicate all required information related to employee status

  • Provides support in the absence of the HRIS Specialist as needed

  • Interacts with Payroll to troubleshoot errors in involving records in the absence reporting system

  • Engages in various projects and other duties as assigned related to the Human Resources Information Systems, Benefits and Pension information

QUALITIES/SKILLS/SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and database tools for data management, analysis, and reporting

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Outlook 365, MS Office Suite, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication skills, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • General understanding of collective agreement/terms and conditions staffing provisions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of a two (2) year post-secondary program in Human Resources or equivalent

  • One (1) year of related work experience is required

  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems an asset
