About The Role: Draganfly Innovations Canada is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support the HR team across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment and onboarding, employee records and HRIS administration, employee engagement, compliance, and general HR operations. Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner and working closely with the HR Generalist and the Executive Chief of Staff, this role helps keep day-to-day HR processes running smoothly, accurately, and confidentially for employees across multiple Canadian provinces and the United States.
This is a full-time remote role suited for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who is comfortable handling confidential information in a distributed, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including drafting and posting job advertisements, scheduling phone screens and interviews, and conducting reference checks Manage candidate communications and help deliver a positive, professional candidate experience Support new-hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, collecting new-hire documentation, and setting up employee files and system access Coordinate first-day and first-week orientation logistics in partnership with hiring managers and IT Prepare and maintain accurate onboarding checklists, employee files, and related HR documentation Partner with hiring managers to ensure recruitment and onboarding steps are completed on time Provide administrative support to help maintain a smooth and consistent hiring process
HRIS & Employee Records Maintain accurate, confidential employee records, including new hires, status changes, terminations, and personal information updates Support HRIS administration, data entry, system updates, and ongoing system implementation improvements Support periodic data audits to ensure employee records are complete, current, and compliant
Employee Lifecycle, Compliance & General HR Support Prepare routine HR reports on headcount, turnover, and other key metrics Support employment-related documentation, including employment letters, contract amendments, and offboarding paperwork Support quarterly performance review cycles by scheduling, tracking completion, and following up with managers Help coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, quarterly surveys, and internal communications Maintain the HR SharePoint portal, shared documentation, employee handbook, and HR policy library across all jurisdictions Provide first-line responses to routine employee inquiries related to benefits, time off, and policies, escalating as appropriate Support adherence to employment standards across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions where Draganfly operates Support special projects and other duties as assigned to help the HR team operate efficiently

You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep multiple HR priorities moving without losing track of the small details You handle confidential employee, compensation, and personal information with discretion and professionalism You communicate clearly and professionally with employees, candidates, managers, and external partners You are comfortable working independently in a remote environment and know when to ask questions or escalate issues You are adaptable and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving company where priorities can shift quickly You are proficient with Microsoft 365 tools and comfortable learning HRIS, ATS, and shared documentation systems You bring integrity, initiative, and a solutions-oriented mindset to your work every day
Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field 1–3 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordination role Working knowledge of Canadian and British Columbia employment standards; exposure to U.S. employment practices is an asset Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Humi, BambooHR, ADP, or applicant tracking systems is an asset
Compensation package: Competitive salary: $55,000 - $70,000 CAD Equity / Stock Options: Participation in the company’s stock option plan, providing long‑term ownership and alignment with company growth.
