Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee life cycle management, employee relations, and compliance, while representing the organization to external partners. You will drive organizational planning and operational excellence, with a focus on HR strategy, process improvement, and internal systems. This position will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and psychological safety.This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success requires exceptional judgment, diplomacy, and superior verbal and written communication skills.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic HR LeadershipLead the organization?s people and culture strategy in alignment with organizational priorities, operational goals, and legislative requirements. Advise the Executive Director and senior leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, employee engagement, compensation, and culture.Lead talent management strategies including recruitment, retention, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management. Lead talent management strategies including recruitment, retention, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management. Develop HR operational and financial strategies, including forecasting workforce and resource needs.Oversee total rewards programs, including compensation frameworks, benefits, and recognition initiatives.Champion equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives across all people practices and organizational policies.Employee Relations & Organizational EffectivenessProvide strategic oversight and direction on employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance matters.Build strong relationships with leaders to support effective consistent decision-making, team effectiveness, and organizational health.Mitigate organizational risk through proactive compliance with employment legislation, policy development and revisions, and best practices.Lead organizational change management, internal communications, and staff engagement initiatives.Monitor workforce trends, morale, turnover, and engagement metrics to inform organizational strategy and continuous improvement.Operations & GovernanceOversee HR operations, systems, and processes, including HRIS integrity, payroll collaboration, records management, and reporting. Ensure effective onboarding, training, certification compliance, and professional development practices across the organization. Establish and monitor people metrics, providing regular reporting and strategic insights to leadership.Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Payroll, IT, and operational leaders
