About the role

Voyago, Transdev Ontario is currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Kitchener - Waterloo, Ontario region to fill an immediate vacancy. Your Role: Reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a driving force in attracting and selecting top talent across all divisions. In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders to understand recruitment needs, define job requirements, and ensure alignment with company policies, processes and current legislation. You’ll oversee the full recruitment cycle—from managing job postings to proactively sourcing, assessing, and securing high-quality candidates through our Applicant Tracking System. This position is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven recruiter or experienced hiring professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to advance their career in Talent Acquisition. Please note, this is not a remote position and the successful candidate will be required to work onsite in the Kitchener office, hybrid options may be considered after a successful 6 months. Primary Responsibilities Post all job opportunities and drive high-volume recruitment to ensure all positions are filled efficiently. Interview candidates, maintain candidate databases and follow-up in a timely manner Interview candidates, maintain accurate databases, and provide timely follow-up. Track and report recruitment metrics and progress regularly, providing analytical insights to support leadership and cross-functional teams. Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute innovative social media and advertising strategies to attract candidates. Contribute to a positive new hire experience by staying connected throughout onboarding and beyond. Gather, audit, and manage all required documentation during hiring and onboarding. Work closely with Operations, Training, and other teams to coordinate a smooth recruitment and onboarding process. Build local community connections and partnerships to support recruitment efforts. Identify opportunities to streamline administrative tasks, improve processes, and enhance recruitment outcomes. Be proactive in recommending and implementing creative approaches to attract new talent Your Profile: You have post-secondary education in Human Resources, Recruitment or equivalent work experience in a transportation environment You have strong verbal and written communication skills You posses a goal-oriented attitude You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment You have the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time You are able to work independently with minimal direction You posses enhanced organizational and time management skills You bring your familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Your ADP software experience would be an asset You have very strong Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) You have experience with full-cycle recruitment (posting, screening, interviewing, job offer, onboarding) You have the ability to source candidates via multiple channels (grassroot recruitment, social media, etc) You are creative in your approach to promoting job opportunities You are able to travel as required throughout the Southwestern & Central Ontario regions as required You have sound knowledge of Kitchener, Waterloo, Stratford and Central Ontario regions You have a clean drivers abstract and posses a minimum full G licence You posses a clear criminal record search You have the ability to build community connections in the region Your past experience with mass hiring in a short time frame would be a valuable asset You are available to work on-site in the Kitchener office as this is not a remote position The Perks We offer comprehensive benefits packages for full time employees with an Employee and Family Assistance Program, a great company perks program and an Employee Referral Bonus for all staff We are an Award Winning company As a subsidiary of Transdev, we provide opportunities for a rewarding career with a growing, global transportation provider We focus on innovation and sustainable environmental initiatives We support the development, work-life balance and well-being of our employees We build a supportive corporate culture that encourages diversity and enables our people to flourish.
