About the role

Global Power Technologies ("GPT") is transforming off-grid power generation to help the gas industry improve renewable power reliability, decrease emissions and increase efficiency. We’re providing power to sensors, meters, compressors and other devices that optimize our clients’ production uptime while safeguarding human lives and the environment.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the E&HS Advisor will be responsible for promoting our corporate values and shaping a positive safety culture through supporting our programs, training, and ensuring our employees work in a safe and respectful environment. This position will be primarily responsible for leading, preparing and maintaining our COR certification and OHS compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties Provide EHS support and subject matter expertise across all levels of the organization Collaborate with leadership and employees in the development, implementation, and stewardship of the ESH programs Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance audits to identify trends and areas for improvement Lead investigations of workplace incidents and near misses; perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions Deliver EHS orientations and targeted training for new hires, contractors, and visitors Source, coordinate, and track employee training activities through internal databases Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure ongoing compliance with legislative and corporate standards Act as the primary contact with WCB for regulatory reporting, claims management and return-to-work programs Partner with leadership to develop strategies that reduce workplace incidents and enhance safety culture Tracking, analyzing, and reporting EHS key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall performance Maintain ISNetworld and Avetta systems. Coordinate and execute internal COR audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to maintain certification. Lead Joint Health and Safety Committee initiatives as Co-Chair, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide support for benefits administration – Disability Management with Return to work and accommodation support Administer employee programs such as PPE expense reimbursement Up to 40% travel to our Bassano manufacturing facility (transportation provided)

Qualifications and Skills Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field 3-5 years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing setting Other combinations of education and experience will be considered Professional designation (NCSO, CRSP, CSP, CMIOSH, CHSC) is considered an asset
