Human Resources Generalist (14-month Contract)

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that TBWA\Canada is a great place to work by contributing towards a collaborative and engaging culture. This role is fundamental to the employee experience as it acts as the bridge between employees, the HR team, and the agency. Often the first point of contact for employees, you will provide HR support across a wide range of HR administration. You will be seen as a trusted partner to employees and managers, supporting everything from recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits, vacation tracking, payroll, and health and safety.
What You’ll Do: Serve as an important point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and HR processes Lead new hire onboarding to ensure every employee starts with a great experience Lead the creation and management of Freelance contracts, NDAs, and maintain records in our HRIS platform Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS platform, and process all employment changes (hires, terminations, promotions, LOAs etc.) Create Employment Agreements and other types of employee documentation Support the HR team with recruitment and hiring initiatives Support the HR team on global and agency-level initiatives and projects Support initiatives that strengthen our employee experience, retention, inclusion, and agency culture Support HR reporting, data analysis, and workforce insights to help inform business decisions Ensure HR practices remain compliant with regulations and laws (ESA, LSA, AODA, Ontario Human Rights Code etc.) Support benefits administration including enrollment, changes, leave management, and vendor communication Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and internal tools
What You Bring: Completed degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, or a related field 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources roles. Advertising agency experience an asset Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards, labour legislation and HR best practices Quebec and Alberta employment legislation knowledge an asset Demonstrated experience assisting in the development and execution of people programs that strengthen culture, engagement, and inclusion Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented and organized, and follow processes and checklists to ensure reports, documentation, and deliverables are error free Demonstrated ability to collaborate through open communication with a team working in a hybrid environment Demonstrated ability to be a proactive self-starter who prioritizes effectively and takes initiative Demonstrated ability managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability in exercising discretion, sound judgement, tact and diplomacy in all communications Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, with Workday experience an asset

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity. This job description represents an active vacancy that we are currently hiring for.
