Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, the Recruitment Coordinator will play a key role in sourcing, interviewing, and on-boarding top talent, ensuring a smooth candidate experience from application through their on-boarding journey.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, background checks, orientation and on-boarding candidates

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop job postings

  • Manage job advertisements, schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process

  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and provide feedback to hiring managers

  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and manage recruitment and new hire documentation

  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring timely follow-ups and clear communication

  • Track, monitor and action recruitment KPIs

  • Other duties as required

On-boarding:

  • Coordinate pre-employment checks and on-boarding process for all programs

  • Prepare and send on-boarding documentation including on the job training plans from hiring managers

  • Schedule and facilitate orientation sessions for all new hires

  • Conduct training sessions for new hires

  • Coordinate equipment, system access and workstation setups

  • Track on-boarding progress throughout the first 3 months and follow up on outstanding tasks

  • Conduct new hire check ins, exit interviews and stay interviews

  • Maintain audit ready on-boarding documentation

  • Support health & safety and mandatory training compliance

  • Develop and maintain onsite and offsite orientation and on-boarding programs

  • Track, monitor and action on-boarding and post hire KPIs

  • Schedule and organize all mandatory training with in house and external training facilitators

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant post-secondary in HR Management, Business Administration or related field

  • Attention to detail

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software is a plus

  • Ability to work under limited supervision

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact and professionalism

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments

  • Excellent planning, organization and prioritizing skills

  • Positive, friendly and helpful approach to work

  • Solid knowledge of and practical experience with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
