Achev’s latest Impact Report: www.Achev.ca The Project Management in Construction Bridging Program—funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development (MLITSD)—is a collaborative initiative developed by Achēv, Humber College, and premier employer partners. The program accelerates the integration of internationally trained professionals with extensive backgrounds in construction project management, connecting them directly with immediate hiring opportunities within Ontario's construction sector. The Role: Employer Liaison In this dynamic, sales-driven role, you will act as the bridge between global talent and Ontario construction employers. Your primary focus is business development, account management, and candidate matching. You will actively pitch the program’s talent pool to construction firms, cultivate a robust pipeline of hiring partners, and recruit for open roles. By deeply understanding employer needs, you will consultatively match participants to direct hire opportunities, while providing high-impact career coaching to ensure long-term retention. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development & Outreach: Conduct targeted B2B outreach and cold/warm calling to construction companies across Ontario to pitch our talent pipeline, secure hiring commitments, and identify open requisitions. Account Management & Recruitment: Cultivate long-term relationships with construction HR teams, hiring managers, and executives to understand their talent needs and advocate for program participants. Direct Job Matching: Review candidate profiles and match qualified internationally trained construction professionals directly with competitive employment opportunities. Talent Coaching & Preparation: Facilitate structured group sessions and one-on-one coaching focused on aggressive job search strategies, resume optimization, and high-performance interview preparation. Site Vetting & Compliance: Ensure all prospective employer partners meet eligibility criteria and conduct necessary site visits to confirm safe, equitable work environments prior to final hiring. Post-Hire Retention Support: Provide ongoing post-hire consultation, coaching, and conflict resolution to both the employer and the candidate to maximize retention and career advancement. Corporate Events: Plan, coordinate, and execute exclusive construction job fairs, reverse interview sessions, and corporate networking events. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Integrate seamlessly with project staff, academic partners, and the broader team to align candidate preparation with real-time market demands. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: University Degree, related College Diploma, or equivalent corporate sales/recruitment experience. Sales & Recruitment Experience: Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in agency recruitment, corporate talent acquisition, or B2B sales, with a proven track record of meeting hiring or sales targets. Coaching Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience facilitating corporate training, job readiness workshops, or group career coaching for adult learners. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ontario’s Labor Market Information (LMI), recruitment strategies, and localized job search techniques within the construction or engineering sectors. Intercultural Competence: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internationally trained professionals and navigate global talent dynamics. Core Competencies: Goal-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable with superior time management skills and a hunter mindset. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and B2B communication skills. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM tools, digital career platforms, and the MS Office suite. Flexibility: Ability to work evenings or weekends as required to accommodate employer networking events and executive meetings. Salary rate: $55,829.00 This is a current vacancy.
