Role Overview
The Pike Group is a diversified, growth-focused organization with operations in heavy equipment, trucking, and related industries. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help lead the next phase of growth.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the COO, you will act as a true business partner, supporting strategy, improving profitability, and building the financial, people, and technology infrastructure required to scale a high-performance dealership group.
Your Mandate
Lead Finance, with oversight of HR and IT, ensuring sound financial stewardship, strong governance, and organizational capability to enable sustainable growth.
This includes:
Driving sustainable EBITDA growth Building scalable systems and processes Embedding financial discipline into all areas of operations Enabling expansion through data-driven decision-making and capital strategy
What You'll Do
Drive Strategy & Growth
Partner with the CEO and COO to execute the Group’s strategic plan, including expansion and acquisitions Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and capital allocation decisions Provide insight that drives action—not just reporting Manage the KPIs critical to dealership success: Expense ratios Interest expense Gross margin by department Inventory turns and aging Working capital and cash flow Deliver actionable insights at the branch and executive level Support a sales-driven culture with disciplined financial oversight
Lead Dealership Financial Performance
Own the Finance Function
Lead all aspects of finance across a multi-entity structure: Budgeting, forecasting, and Financial Planning & Admin Financial reporting and controls Cash flow and working capital management Oversee inventory strategy and floorplan financing Ensure accurate, timely financials that enable fast decision-making
Partner with Operations to Maximize Profitability
Work closely with the COO to improve efficiency, margins, and absorption Support pricing strategies, cost control, and operational discipline Bring financial clarity to operational decisions across all locations
Strengthen the Business Backbone (HR, Payroll & IT)
Oversee HR, Payroll, and IT (internal and outsourced resources) Collaborate with the COO to drive performance management, compensation alignment, and workforce planning Lead IT strategy, including DMS optimization, system integration, and data visibility
Governance, Risk & Financial Discipline
Establish strong internal controls and financial governance Manage banking, audit, tax, and external stakeholder relationships Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks Ensure the business is structured to grow responsibly and sustainably
Candidate Profile
What We’re Looking For
CPA designation required 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience Experience in a dealership, industrial, or multi-unit operating environment strongly preferred Deep understanding of: Fixed operations and absorption models Inventory management and floorplan financing Multi-location business performance Proven ability to drive growth and improve profitability Experience leading cross-functional teams including HR and IT A hands-on leader who can operate strategically and tactically Experience with Dealer Management Systems (Proceed for example) and asset Prior experience leading the HR function an asset
