Senior Talent Acquisition Partner
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
This position is 100% onsite in downtown Calgary. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.
Role Description The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle to attract and hire top talent. This position focuses on advising effective recruitment strategies, partnering with hiring teams, and delivering strong candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Responsibilities • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies aligned with business hiring needs • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding • Partner with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs and provide recruitment guidance • Source candidates using multiple channels such as job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals • Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural alignment • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and candidate data • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure hiring effectiveness • Provide regular updates and report to leadership on hiring progress • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition
Required Skills and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or transferrable knowledge and skills • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment • Thorough knowledge of recruitment best practices and Canadian Employment legislation • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Proven experience in understanding and filling hard to fill roles with limited talent pools • Experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Desired Skills and Experience • Experience with Workday and/or SAP would be considered an asset • Strategic thinking and workforce planning • Data-driven decision making • Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills • Continuous improvement mindset
