Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, a critical function for the company's financial operations. The Payroll Administrator's responsibilities are vital in maintaining financial accuracy, compliance with regulations, and providing essential information to support effective decision-making within the organization.
What you will be responsible for: Payroll Processing: Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions. Calculate wages, deductions, and enter data into computer systems. Review various records to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. Data Management: Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from various records. Enter employee information into the payroll system for new hires. Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, maintaining designated records. Record employee information such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations for payroll updates. Issue and record pay adjustments for errors or retroactive increases. Track employee leave time, including vacation, personal, and sick leave. Employee Support: Provide information to employees and managers regarding payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions. Assist with HRIS implementation, including testing and other assigned duties.

What we need from you: Experience with the UKG/ADP platform preferred. Previous payroll experience. Understanding of BC Employment Standards, tax regulations, and related legislation. Basic accounting knowledge. Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) credential or working towards PCP designation is preferred. Familiarity with ADP is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
