We’re searching for a People & Performance (HR) Operations Coordinator! Are you searching for new possibilities?

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a People & Performance Operations Coordinator (hybrid) at our Head Office in Surrey, BC.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $50,000 to $60,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

As a People & Performance Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our People & Performance operations team. As the primary contact for employee and manager inquiries through our centralized HR email inbox (AskHR), you’ll ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.

Why we’ll love You:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; Finance and/or Insurance experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of HR experience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS system, Ceridian Dayforce is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated passion for process improvement and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Once here, you'll:

  • Serve as the frontline HR contact for all employee and manager inquiries related to policies, procedures, and HRIS system processes.
  • Efficiently manage the centralized AskHR inbox, providing timely responses to internal and external inquiries and routing requests to the appropriate P&P team as needed.
  • Manage tasks in Ceridian Dayforce, ensuring smooth operations including handling employee changes, terminations and generating reports.
  • Conduct data audits such as tracking employee bonuses, length of service awards and temporary employees.
  • Assist in updating employment agreement templates, handbooks, policies, procedures, and our employee intranet, to reflect current requirements.
  • Administer the annual Westland Scholarship Program, ensuring smooth and effective communication with participants.
  • Maintain timely communication with Statistics Canada, completing surveys promptly as required.
  • Act as a flexible resource, providing additional support to the P&P team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
