Position Overview:
Under the general direction of a Senior Specialist, this position will design and deliver meaningful learning experiences that support
the growth and development of employees and leaders across Manitoba Hydro. The role focuses on helping people strengthen their
skills and unlock their potential through high quality learning and development opportunities. It is well suited to someone with
expertise in adult learning and facilitation who is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and personal development,

Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver interactive and engaging in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Facilitate employee, professional, and leadership development workshops, seminars, and team sessions.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development support to employees and leaders.
- Support the design and implementation of leadership programs, including formal learning, networking events, summits, and
high-potential programming.
- Coordinate coaching and mentorship programs and enhanced development opportunities for leaders.
- Support the development, refinement, and application of competency model to guide leadership expectations, development
planning, and program design.
- Perform learning needs analysis annually, leveraging data from various sources such as talent management, development
planning, employee feedback, L&D feedback, etc. to identify trends and inform program design.
- Review and evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and reporting, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Design, update, and refine learning content based on business needs, feedback, and organizational changes.
- Pilot new programs and revise materials to ensure relevance and impact.
- Integrate competency frameworks into learning content and development pathways to ensure alignment with organizational
capability needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, leaders, subject matter experts, external training vendors and
consultants.
- Partner with leaders, SMEs, Talent Management, and L&D teams to align programs with organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and resources to employees and leaders to learn and apply new or advanced skills.
- Support change-management activities within the Talent & Learning department.
- Stay current on trends in learning, leadership development, talent management, and adult education.
- Maintain professional networks to share and learn best practices.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytics to track progress on leader and team development initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational learning and leadership development.
- Travel to other locations as required to support program delivery, facilitation, and development initiatives & activities.

Qualifications:
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in Business/Public Administration (Human Resources), Commerce (Human Resources),
Education or Psychology with a minimum of three years of Human Resource experience with a minimum of one year specific
to Leadership Development with strong experience developing, leading and facilitating leadership development training
sessions using various delivery methods and formats;
OR
- Two-year Diploma in Business, Human Resources, Education, or relevant discipline from an institution with recognized
standing with a minimum of five years of related experience with a minimum of one year specific to developing, leading, and
facilitating training sessions using various delivery methods and formats.
OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of the utility business, functions and environment and the inherent HR implications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate learning sessions (classroom and/or virtual) using various delivery methods and
formats to all levels of staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and build effective business partnerships.
- Effective communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly effective working with and through others; possesses a truly collaborative style with an ability to effectively influence
others through a thoughtful and tactful communication style.
- A team player who brings a passionate, positive, and high-energy approach to customer service and delivering results.
- Demonstrates agility and resilience working in a fast-paced, changing environment; ability to navigate and work through
ambiguity and complexity.
- High integrity with the ability to deal with confidential, sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism.
- Knowledge of talent management concepts, tools and methods.
- Having certification or courses in a relevant discipline such as Adult Education, Instructional Design, team interventions,
change management, professional designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), or coaching
certification would be considered an asset.
Notes/Comments:
- May be required to work at other locations within the province, and where transportation between these sites may be by small
aircraft.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $39.18-$54.24 Hourly,
$75,083.06-$103,932.92 Annually.
