Accountabilities

As a Senior Associate, Convening, you will support the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of convening and capacity-sharing activities. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and community organizations to create inclusive experiences that strengthen collaboration and advance shared priorities.

Coordinate the planning and delivery of partner convenings, roundtables, workshops, and learning activities. Support the development of agendas, run-of-show documents, facilitation materials, and engagement strategies. Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of convening activities. Manage follow-up activities after events, including documentation, partner communications, action tracking, and next-step coordination. Engage with partners before, during, and after convenings to encourage participation and gather feedback. Maintain visibility into project progress, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements across multiple initiatives. Support relationships with external vendors, consultants, and community partners involved in convening activities. Track partner engagement activities and maintain accurate records to support relationship management. Gather insights and feedback from participants to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Translate field observations into actionable recommendations that inform future strategies and engagement approaches. Contribute to internal coordination, team learning activities, and special projects. Support the creation and refinement of convening tools, templates, facilitation guides, and collaborative frameworks. Promote equitable, accessible, and inclusive practices across all engagement activities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an organized and collaborative professional with experience supporting community initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and impactful convening programs. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships with diverse groups.

Bachelor’s degree in community development, social sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of experience supporting events, convenings, community programs, or collaborative initiatives. Experience supporting multi-stakeholder partnerships, cross-sector collaborations, or community-based organizations. Experience working with immigrant-led organizations, grassroots groups, or community-serving initiatives. Experience planning and delivering workshops, learning events, or engagement activities. Understanding of immigration systems, employment pathways, systems change, collective impact, or related areas is an asset. Demonstrated ability to use group engagement and facilitation methods. Strong project coordination, organizational, and follow-through skills with attention to detail. Ability to build respectful and productive relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize feedback to improve programs and experiences. Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to equity, inclusion, accessibility, and community-centered approaches. Experience creating or adapting agendas, facilitation resources, or engagement frameworks. Ability to work effectively in evolving environments with curiosity and a continuous learning mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working across multiple regions, geographies, or diverse partner networks. Familiarity with collaboration and virtual engagement tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Miro, or Mural. Exposure to systems change, collective impact models, or community transformation initiatives.
