Position: Senior Trainer Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract) Client Location: Edmonton (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)
Note on Assignment Type This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Trainer to support the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of enterprise training programs within a large and complex environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting training needs analyses, developing curriculum and learning materials, creating computer-based training solutions, and delivering effective learning programs that support organizational objectives and workforce development initiatives.
Scope Provide end-to-end project management leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Lead project planning, scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement activities. Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and key deliverables. Support Treasury Board / Management Board Cabinet (TB/MBC) and Strategic Planning Process (SPP) submissions.
Assignment Deliverables Training needs assessment documentation. Curriculum design frameworks and learning pathways. Instructor-led and computer-based training materials. Training videos and e-learning modules.
Expertise Required Must Have: Minimum 4 years of experience conducting training needs analyses and developing competency frameworks. Minimum 6 years of experience developing and delivering training materials, including computer-based learning modules and training videos. Minimum 4 years of experience leading curriculum design projects from initiation through implementation. Minimum 4 years of experience applying adult learning principles and learning and development methodologies. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Learning and Development. Nice to Have: Experience applying formative and summative training evaluation methodologies. Experience developing and implementing enterprise training plans.
