As a member of a COE (Centre of Excellence), the Total Rewards Specialist provides analytical support to the design and execution of the organization’s total rewards programs.

This role is responsible for ensuring reward programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organization's values and objectives. They will work closely with HR colleagues, external vendors, and business leaders to ensure that our total rewards programs are in alignment.

Job Architecture, Market Pricing & Benchmarking

Develop job architecture frameworks based on market practice and aligning with organizational and talent strategies. Conduct benchmarking and market pricing using external salary surveys. Develop pay structures and pay frameworks for merit, promotions and off-cycle adjustments. Monitor labour market trends, emerging rewards practices, and regulatory changes. Perform ongoing maintenance and enhancements as needed.

Group Benefits And Retirement Program Design

Enhance company Group Benefits, and Retirement program by assessing current processes and identifying areas for improvement. Develops standards and processes that support these programs. Proactively monitors data across systems to identify discrepancies, drive timely remediation, and strengthen overall data integrity within Total Rewards processes. Provides training and coaching for People Partners and assist with communication to members participating in these programs.

Trusted Advisor and Subject Matter Expert with People Partners

Build strong cross‑functional relationships with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and leaders to drive alignment, enhance program comprehension, and ensure a cohesive approach to total rewards program administration.

Compliance & Regulatory Governance

Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations related to total reward programs. Partner with industry experts as needed. Stay informed of industry trends and legislative changes that may impact our Total Rewards programs.

Total Rewards Strategy

Based on insights and external practice, recommend enhancements to TR programs. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support total rewards programs for Metro Supply Chain team members.

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification is a bonus. 3-5 years of equivalent experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or Benefits, preferably within complex, multi-site organizations.
