HR Generalist
Location: Barrie , Ontario Job Type: Full-Time On Site
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will support a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, policy administration, compliance, and HR programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee relations by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
- Assist managers with performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Administer employee benefits, leaves, and HRIS updates.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Support training and development programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with policy development, HR reporting, and special projects.
- Stay current on employment legislation and HR best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role.
- Knowledge of employment standards, human rights, workplace health and safety, and privacy legislation.
- Experience with HRIS systems(ADP) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
