Onshore Project Manager Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Work Arrangement: On-site Employment Type: Full-time Designation: Associate Job Description Cyient is seeking an experienced Onshore Project Manager to support customer delivery, workforce coordination, governance, associate engagement, talent fulfillment, and business growth activities in the Montreal and Longueuil region. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for onsite operations and will coordinate closely with customer stakeholders, North American HR and Talent Acquisition teams, offshore delivery teams, and internal business leaders. Monitor project deliverables, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions. Coordinate with offshore delivery teams to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, customer expectations, and delivery commitments. Facilitate the timely resolution of delivery issues and operational escalations. Maintain clear documentation of actions, decisions, risks, and project status. Ensure effective communication between onsite teams, offshore teams, customer stakeholders, and internal leadership. Drive accountability across all project and delivery workstreams. Associate Engagement and People Coordination Support the onboarding and integration of onsite associates. Drive associate engagement, communication, and retention initiatives. Maintain regular contact with onsite employees to understand concerns, challenges, and support requirements. Coordinate with HR and business leaders to address employee-relations, performance, and workplace matters. Support workforce continuity and reduce avoidable turnover. Ensure associates understand customer expectations, Cyient policies, and project requirements. Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative onsite working environment. Talent Acquisition and Labor Leasing Build and maintain a qualified talent pipeline within the Montreal and Longueuil region. Support fulfillment of customer labor-leasing and managed-resource requirements. Coordinate with Cyient’s North America HR and Talent Acquisition teams regarding staffing priorities, candidate availability, and hiring plans. Support candidate identification, screening alignment, positioning, interview coordination, and onboarding readiness. Monitor open staffing requirements and provide regular updates regarding pipeline status, risks, and expected fulfillment timelines. Partner with hiring managers and delivery leaders to clarify technical, functional, language, and customer requirements. Help ensure candidates are appropriately prepared and positioned before customer submission. Support workforce planning for current and anticipated customer demand. Business Growth and Account Expansion Identify potential opportunities for scope expansion, additional staffing, and new project work. Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders to better understand current and future business needs. Support the development of proposals, statements of work, staffing plans, and delivery models. Contribute to business cases involving scope, resources, timelines, delivery approach, and expected value. Partner with sales, delivery, and leadership teams to support opportunity qualification and conversion. Identify operational improvements that may create additional customer value. Communicate market intelligence, workforce trends, and customer needs to internal stakeholders. Utilization, Cost, Revenue, and Forecasting Manage associate utilization and support effective capacity planning. Monitor staffing demand, available resources, assignments, and potential deployment gaps. Track project cost, revenue, utilization, and financial performance against established plans. Develop and maintain operational and financial forecasts. Identify financial, utilization, and capacity risks and recommend corrective actions. Partner with business and finance stakeholders to improve revenue predictability and cost control. Ensure resources are aligned appropriately with customer demand and project priorities. Support timely decision-making through accurate data, reporting, and analysis. Escalation Management and Compliance Manage customer, delivery, workforce, and operational escalations across onsite and offshore teams. Investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate timely resolution. Establish appropriate corrective and preventive actions. Communicate escalation status clearly to customer and internal stakeholders. Ensure adherence to customer processes, Cyient policies, contractual requirements, and applicable compliance standards. Monitor risks related to delivery, workforce performance, customer satisfaction, and business continuity. Escalate critical concerns to leadership when necessary. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee or customer matters. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, or a related discipline. Ten or more years of experience in project management, delivery operations, onsite coordination, workforce management, or a related area. Demonstrated experience managing onsite-offshore delivery models. Strong experience with project governance, KPI monitoring, risk management, issue management, and escalation resolution. Experience coordinating technical, operational, delivery, and workforce-related activities. Strong understanding of resource utilization, capacity planning, cost management, revenue tracking, and forecasting. Demonstrated experience working directly with customers and senior stakeholders. Experience supporting staffing, talent acquisition, labor leasing, or managed-resource programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. Professional fluency in both French and English. Ability to work onsite in the Montreal or Longueuil region. Canadian permanent residency or Canadian citizenship is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional certification. Agile, Scrum, or another recognized project-management certification. Experience managing employees or contractors located at a customer site. Experience supporting managed-resource, labor-leasing, or staff-augmentation programs. Aerospace, aviation, engineering-services, manufacturing, or other technical-industry experience.
