Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Talent Acquisition Team Lead to support and elevate our Talent Acquisition (TA) function. This role blends hands-on recruitment (approximately 75%) with team leadership and strategic contribution. You will lead full-cycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of roles while guiding a team of Talent Acquisition Partners, partnering closely with business leaders, and contributing to the evolution of our TA strategy, tools, and processes. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how Finning attracts, hires, and retains top talent across Western Canada. Job Description: Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition Delivery Lead full-cycle recruitment across an assigned portfolio, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation Build and maintain strong talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements and provide market insights Ensure a consistent, high-quality hiring process aligned with Finning’s standards Team Leadership & Coaching Provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of Talent Acquisition Partners Foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment Support onboarding and development of new team members Act as a point of escalation for complex or high-impact searches Strategic & Operational Contributions Contribute to and help execute recruitment marketing strategies to enhance employer brand and attract top talent Support workload management and distribution, ensuring balanced allocation of requisitions Champion continuous improvement in candidate experience, ensuring timely communication and a seamless hiring journey Collaborate on reporting, metrics, and insights to optimize hiring outcomes Qualifications & Experience Required: 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience in high-volume or complex environments Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of recruiters, including coaching and capability development Experience developing targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill ticketed and non-ticketed trade roles, including proactive pipelining of passive candidates Strong experience supporting hiring in skilled-trade, industrial, heavy equipment, or field-based environments; familiarity with trades certification frameworks and workforce dynamics is highly valued Strong understanding of technical and trades talent markets, including regional supply, competitor landscape, and effective sourcing channels Experience recruiting for industrial, technical, and/or corporate roles Proven experience leading or mentoring other recruiters Hands-on experience with ATS and sourcing tools (e.g., Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM platforms) Demonstrated ability to leverage data, analytics, and metrics to inform and drive hiring decisions Ability to effectively assess technical skillsets and translate hiring manager requirements into targeted recruiting strategies Soft Skills & Competencies Required: Leadership and coaching mindset Strategic thinking combined with strong execution capability Excellent communication and influencing skills Data-driven decision-making approach High level of organization and attention to detail Collaborative and team-oriented approach Why Join Finning?
