Senior Payroll Functional Lead (Canada) – ADP GlobalView Implementation 📍 Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid) 📅 Duration: 18-Month Contract-to-Hire 💲 Pay: C$45-50/hour
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Functional Lead with recent hands-on ADP GlobalView experience to support a large-scale Canadian payroll implementation and transformation initiative. This role combines payroll operations expertise with implementation support, user acceptance testing (UAT), payroll validation, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate is a Canadian payroll expert with strong knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation, experience supporting payroll implementations, and the ability to work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure a successful system deployment.
Key Responsibilities Support Canada-specific ADP GlobalView implementation activities, including payroll readiness, testing, validation, and issue resolution. Execute and support Canadian payroll processing, including payroll validation, reconciliations, deductions, adjustments, and special payments. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel payroll testing, defect tracking, troubleshooting, and payroll process documentation. Partner with Payroll, HRIS, HR, Finance, IT, Global Payroll, and third-party vendors throughout implementation and deployment activities. Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial payroll legislation, tax requirements, statutory reporting, and payroll governance. Support year-end payroll activities, including T4s, RL-1s, Records of Employment (ROEs), and other statutory reporting requirements. Provide functional guidance on payroll configuration, testing scenarios, business processes, and system enhancements. Analyze payroll process impacts and recommend improvements during implementation and stabilization. Assist with payroll transformation, documentation, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Required âś” 5+ years of Canadian payroll experience supporting complex payroll environments (approximately 1,500+ employees preferred) âś” Recent hands-on experience with ADP GlobalView in a Canadian payroll environment âś” Fluent in both English and French âś” Experience supporting payroll implementations, migrations, or system enhancements âś” Hands-on experience with UAT, parallel testing, defect resolution, payroll validation, and system troubleshooting âś” Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, including federal and provincial regulations âś” Experience with statutory reporting, including T4s, RL-1s, ROEs, and year-end payroll processing âś” Experience supporting unionized and/or complex payroll populations âś” Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills âś” Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions
Preferred PCP or CPP certification Experience in multinational or global payroll environments Experience with payroll migrations, HRIS/payroll integrations, or payroll transformation initiatives Experience supporting payroll stabilization following a system implementation or upgrade
