About the role
About the Role Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Health and Wellness Supervisor is responsible for the integrated management of the site's health and wellness programs. The incumbent coordinates the health clinic, oversees administrative follow-up related to disability management, ensures the operational readiness of emergency response resources, and standardizes clinical practices. The role also involves developing psychosocial risk prevention campaigns and promoting health and wellness initiatives. Key Responsibilities Manage administrative follow-up for group insurance, disability management, and occupational health files in collaboration with external partners. Develop, implement, and maintain efficient work processes while standardizing practices and optimizing clinic operations. Manage clinic resources, including procurement and inventory control. Develop and implement psychosocial risk prevention and workplace health promotion campaigns. Update health programs, protocols, and biological monitoring programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices. Plan and coordinate biological monitoring, periodic medical examinations, and medical assessments conducted internally or by external providers. Maintain policies, procedures, and programs related to areas such as drugs and alcohol, fatigue management, safe maternity programs, and occupational health. Coordinate pre-employment medical examinations, scheduling, and related administrative follow-up. Support the professional development of the clinical team by implementing a continuing education program that meets professional and organizational requirements. Participate in the management of occupational health and workplace injury data (Cority), ensure data quality within management systems, and produce performance indicators. Provide support to clinic operations by participating, as needed, in employee assessments, clinical consultations, and other healthcare activities to ensure continuity of services. Qualifications College diploma or university degree in Nursing. 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an industrial and/or mining environment. Expanded Role Certification/Training. Strong knowledge of CNESST requirements, OIIQ standards, and group insurance programs. Proficiency with computer applications and occupational health record management systems. Training in Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace (asset). Mining Modules 1 to 5 and 7 (asset). Bilingualism (asset). Competencies Strong leadership and team mobilization skills. Analytical mindset, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Excellent communication and training skills. Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and accessible manner. Working Conditions Schedule: Eight (8) consecutive workdays followed by six (6) consecutive days off. Éléonore Mine Site (Fly-in/Fly-out from Montréal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, and Wemindji).
