Raise is currently hiring a UKG Kronos Workforce Central Consultant on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is a major Canadian airline.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The UKG Kronos Workforce Central Consultant in this role will support operational workforce management activities and lead the critical transition to Dayforce Workforce. Acting as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Kronos Workforce Central, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and the Dayforce implementation program. You will quickly assume ownership of the existing Kronos environment through focused knowledge transfer and provide deep technical expertise to support solution design, validation, testing, and operational readiness. This is a strategic transitional contract role intended to preserve vital workforce management knowledge, maintain operational stability, and mitigate risk during our clients enterprise Workforce Management transformation.

Responsibilities

  1. Kronos Sustainment & Risk Management Provide day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support for ’s UKG Kronos Workforce Central environment during the transition to Dayforce. Support business-critical workforce management processes while operating securely within an end-of-life (EOL) platform environment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex workforce management, scheduling, attendance, accrual, and payroll-related issues. Assess operational risks tied to legacy platform support and recommend proactive mitigation strategies. Coordinate with third-party support providers to guarantee seamless operational continuity throughout the transition period.
  2. Knowledge Transfer & Documentation Work directly with the departing Workforce Management SME to rapidly capture critical business and technical knowledge. Author comprehensive documentation detailing -specific configurations, complex business rules, system integrations, support procedures, and daily operational workflows.
  3. WIM & Integration Support Oversee and document Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) integrations and associated data flows. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration errors impacting workforce management and downstream enterprise systems. Analyze current-state integration architecture to identify key considerations, risks, and requirements for future-state Dayforce solutions. Partner with business and project teams to validate integrations and support robust transition planning.
  4. Dayforce Transition Support Act as the definitive current-state Kronos SME for the wider Dayforce Workforce program team. Review, challenge, and validate Dayforce Workforce requirements, configurations, and design decisions against established workforce management processes. Support end-to-end testing, parallel validation cycles, defect triage, and overarching operational readiness activities. Identify tactical opportunities to safely decommission legacy Kronos functionality and reduce overall reliance on the EOL platform. Support detailed transition planning to ensure a controlled, low-risk migration path from Kronos to Dayforce Workforce.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting UKG Kronos Workforce Central. Proven configuration and support expertise across core modules: Pay Rules, Work Rules, Accruals, Scheduling, Timekeeping, Workforce Administration, and Security Profiles. Demonstrated experience supporting large, complex, and enterprise-scale workforce populations. Direct background leading structured knowledge transfer and technical documentation initiatives. Strong history of supporting payroll-related workforce management processes and downstream handoffs. Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills. Deep technical proficiency with Workforce Integration Manager (WIM), including developing, modifying, and troubleshooting complex WIM integrations and Kronos-to-payroll data feeds. Prior involvement in workforce management transformation projects, enterprise implementations, or platform migrations. Familiarity and experience working with Dayforce Workforce Management. Core Soft Skills & Competencies Ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear, repeatable documentation. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders. Strong relationship-building skills to partner effectively across cross-functional business units and project teams. High learning agility to navigate a fast-paced transformation environment. Ability to onboard quickly, take immediate ownership, and drive deliverables independently. Meticulous attention to detail with a sharp focus on operational risk mitigation. Education and Certifications Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical, hands-on enterprise experience is also widely accepted in specialized workforce management fields. UKG (Kronos) Certifications: Certified UKG Kronos Workforce Central Administrator / Implementer credentials (specifically covering advanced configuration modules like Timekeeper, Accruals, and Pay Rules). Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) technical certification or specialized integration training. Dayforce Certifications: Dayforce Implementation Consultant or Administrator certification (covering Dayforce Workforce Management / WFM modules) given the active platform migration to Dayforce. General HR / Project Management Credentials: CHRP / CHRL (or equivalent professional HR designations), which bring strong foundational context for payroll policies, legislative compliance, and workforce rules. PMP (Project Management Professional) or Change Management certifications, which add strong value given the transformation and risk-mitigation nature of the project.
