Senior Compensation Analyst (Contract – 18 Months) 📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid) 💲 $40–$42/hour + 4% vacation pay Overview We are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join a high-performing Compensation Advisory team within a leading financial services organization. This is an 18-month contract covering maternity leave and offers strong mentorship, learning opportunities, and exposure to strategic compensation design. Key Details End Date: December 31, 2027 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote – flexible choice) Location: Toronto, ON Overtime: Possible About the Team You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team within a Global Total Rewards function. The team acts as an internal compensation consulting group, partnering with business leaders to design and implement competitive compensation programs. What You’ll Do As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will: Lead end-to-end market intelligence cycles, including research, employee matching, and data validation Develop compensation analytics and financial models Support and recommend compensation strategies and solutions aligned to business needs Assist with incentive plan design, approvals, and implementation Analyze compensation data, identify trends, and present insights to stakeholders Monitor external market benchmarks and trends Support both annual compensation cycles and ad hoc projects Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple functions What You Bring ✅ Must-Have Skills Advanced Excel (super user level) Strong experience in compensation analysis Knowledge of market intelligence data and benchmarking cycles Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights 💡 Soft Skills Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organization and time management Self-starter with a proactive, accountable mindset ➕ Nice-to-Have HRPA designation CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or in progress Experience driving process improvements and efficiencies Education & Experience Post-secondary education in HR, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field 3+ years of relevant experience (ideally within compensation or total rewards) Why You’ll Love This Role Hands-on exposure to compensation strategy and design Opportunity to work with senior stakeholders and business leaders Ability to enhance processes and influence how work is done Strong onboarding, training, and ongoing support Fast-paced, high-impact environment Success in This Role Performance will be measured based on: Accuracy and quality of deliverables Ability to meet deadlines Strength of analytical insights Contributions to process improvement Interview Process 2–3 interview rounds (primarily virtual) Final round may be conducted in person Use AI for Hiring: Our recruitment process for this role includes the use of AI-based tools to help evaluate candidate qualifications and screen applications.
