Manage recruitment from start to finish. Find creative ways to attract workers. Deliver a positive candidate experience. Ensure a smooth onboarding for new hires.
Partner to managers
Support managers with people-related challenges. Take part in performance management and labour relations. Help resolve sensitive situations with judgment and tact. Help maintain a healthy work environment.
Health and safety
Collaborate on CNESST and OHS files. Participate on OHS and labour relations committees. Help reduce risks and improve practices. Ensure OHS compliance.
Grow HR at Metal CN
Structure and improve processes. Take part in engagement and retention initiatives. Support employee development. Keep HR files and follow-ups well organized.
Desired Skills
Enjoys being close to people. Does not wait to be told what to do. Thrives in fast-paced SME environments. Able to juggle multiple files at once. Brings practical, down-to-earth solutions.
Experience
Degree in human resources or industrial relations. Experience as a generalist HR professional. Manufacturing experience is a major asset. Solid knowledge of employment law and OHS. CRHA/CRIA designation (an asset). map[Expected start date:first week of August 2026.]
