Our mission is to provide a platform for networking, learning, and sharing insights that drive personal development, startup growth, and collective success.
Role Overview As a Tech Community Lead at Careerin Tech Society, you will have the unique opportunity to spearhead the establishment and growth of a local tech community chapter. You'll be at the forefront of fostering professional connections, organizing engaging events, and inspiring individuals to explore and excel in the world of technology and innovations.
Key Responsibilities
Community Building: Create a welcoming and inclusive space for people interested in human resources, talent acquisition, and people operations to connect, collaborate, and learn together. Event Coordination: Plan and host exciting events, such as workshops, guest speaker panels, and networking meetups. Collaboration: Work with local universities, tech professionals, and companies to develop partnerships that enhance the community's learning and career placement opportunities. Engagement: Reach out to your peers, gather feedback, and tailor chapter activities to address their professional development interests and needs. Leadership: Lead and motivate a local team of volunteers, collectively contributing to the organization's regional success. Promotion: Utilize various communication channels and social media to spread the word about community events and initiatives. Reporting: Keep the HQ team updated on community progress, achievements, and challenges.
Qualifications Enthusiasm for technology and innovation, and a desire to inspire others in the field. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal abilities. Leadership experience or a strong interest in developing team management skills. Passion for creating an inclusive, diverse, and supportive community environment. Ability to work independently and take initiative on local projects. Previous event planning, club management, or volunteer experience is a plus.
