About the role
The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for providing supportive data entry and reporting excellence for our group benefits clients.
What you will do:
- Client Management
- Retrieve and store carrier reports in the client management system (Epic).
- Input data from carrier reports into Excel templates for experience and renewal reporting.
- Populate renewal presentations in PowerPoint using tables and graphs.
- Validate renewal rates against billing data to ensure carrier accuracy.
- Initiate policy renewals within the client management system (Epic).
- Support various client-related projects as assigned.
- Learning & Development
- Build proficiency in carrier systems, reporting formats, and internal tools.
- Continuously improve Excel and PowerPoint skills to enhance reporting quality.
- Stay current on group benefits practices and renewal processes.
- Seek feedback and apply learnings to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in team knowledge-sharing and cross-training initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and internal teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes.
- Takes initiative and solves problems independently.
What you will bring:
- Completed post-secondary degree or a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.
- Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment, able to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, able to skillfully work independently and within a team, with strong organization and prioritization skills. Able to solve problems and is self-motivated.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Sound judgment, ethics, and integrity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client service attitude and ability to build relationships and trust.
