What can you expect from this position?
Through a partner agency, the Contractor, Executive Recruiter will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Toronto Pearson Airport. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end recruitment of executive and senior leadership talent across the organization. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives, you will drive strategic talent acquisition initiatives, build diverse and high-impact leadership pipelines, and ensure an exceptional, high-touch candidate experience.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Talent and Transformation, this role partners closely with the Executive Leadership Team, HR Business Partners, and external search partners to deliver best-in-class executive hiring outcomes.
As an Executive Recruiter, you will:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, shaping leadership hiring strategies through market intelligence, succession insights, and alignment to enterprise business priorities.
- Lead full-cycle executive search mandates for Director, VP, and C-level roles, from intake through offer and onboarding.
- Design and execute proactive, research-driven sourcing strategies to identify and engage top executive talent globally.
- Build and maintain pipelines of diverse, high-calibre leadership talent, including both active and passive candidates.
- Partner with and influence senior and board-level stakeholders, providing evidence-based recommendations and balanced assessment of candidates, including capability, potential, and risk.
- Manage external executive search firms, ensuring alignment, accountability, and delivery against expectations.
- Conduct in-depth executive assessments, including competency-based interviews, leadership capability evaluation, and cultural fit analysis.
- Develop executive-level candidate briefs and hiring manager summaries, synthesizing insights to support informed decision-making.
- Drive a white-glove candidate experience, ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and consistent communication throughout the process.
- Leverage market data and competitive intelligence to inform compensation positioning and hiring strategies.
- Track and report on executive search metrics, providing insights to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within executive hiring strategies and outcomes.
This is the role for you, if you have:
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7–10+ years of progressive recruitment experience, with a strong focus on executive search and senior leadership hiring.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for Director, VP, or C-level roles, ideally within complex or matrixed organizations.
- Experience within retained search firms and/or in-house executive recruitment environments.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including executives and board-level leaders.
- Strong experience in direct sourcing, talent mapping, and market intelligence gathering.
- Familiarity with executive compensation structures, talent benchmarking, and negotiation processes.
- Proficiency with ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and executive research tools.
- Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
This position is exempt from Ontario's 2026 pay transparency requirements under Regulation 476/24.
