Senior Client Relationship Manager
About the role
Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to support its Contingent Workforce Program. This role is responsible for managing relationships with business stakeholders and staffing suppliers, supporting workforce planning, vendor performance, executive reporting, and program governance. The successful candidate will partner with senior leaders to drive supplier performance, optimize contingent workforce strategy, and deliver data-driven insights. Contract: 12 Months (Extension & FTE Possible) Hybrid: 1–2 days onsite per week Location: Toronto, ON
Key Responsibilities Manage relationships with senior business stakeholders (Sr. Directors & VPs) to understand workforce planning and hiring needs. Build and maintain relationships with staffing suppliers while monitoring supplier performance and compliance. Prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, and reports summarizing workforce metrics and program performance. Analyze hiring trends, contractor utilization, spend, savings, and supplier KPIs to provide actionable recommendations. Facilitate supplier performance reviews and support rate card optimization. Identify risks, communicate program updates, and recommend continuous process improvements. Collaborate with internal teams to support contingent workforce strategy and vendor management initiatives.
Must-Have Skills 5+ years of experience in relationship management, contingent workforce, staffing, procurement, vendor management, or a related field. Experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders (Director/VP level). Strong executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Advanced PowerPoint skills with experience preparing executive presentations. Experience managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret workforce and financial data. Professionalism and discretion handling confidential information.
Nice to Have Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) such as Beeline. Knowledge of contingent workforce programs, MSP models, or the staffing industry. Advanced Excel and reporting skills. HR or workforce management background.
