Vice President, HRBP – Product Engineering We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Strategic HR Business Partner to partner closely with our Chief Technology Officer. In this pivotal role, you will help shape and drive transformative people strategies aligned with our ambition to evolve and scale the products and services we deliver to our customers. As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to design and execute forward-looking HR and talent strategies that enable business growth, elevate the employee experience, and foster a high-performance, continuously improving culture. Location This is a hybrid role that will be based in our New York City or Toronto office. About the Role As Vice President, HRBP – Product Engineering, you will report into the Chief People Officer. Leading a small team of HRBPs, you will partner closely with our Chief Technology Officer who leads a large global team of engineering and technical talent. You will have accountability for: Partnering and Innovating Across the Enterprise: Drive the strategic people agenda in a highly matrixed and collaborative environment Partner with key teams to align HR strategies with business objectives Lead change management initiatives, acting as a change agent to foster innovation and transformation within the organization Talent Strategy and Strategic Workforce Planning: Closely work with business leaders to Identify future capabilities and align talent/technology strategies with industry trends and business needs Develop and implement talent strategy and strategic workforce plans using predictive analytics and scenario modelling Organizational Design and Talent Management: Design effective operating models and talent and technology management activities to support the business strategy Strengthen the talent pool through succession planning, talent flow and career management Lead talent acquisition strategies to attract and onboard future capabilities Organizational Health and Effectiveness: Improve business effectiveness through operational enhancements aligned with the business model Promote an inclusive and values-driven culture Understanding Our Customers, Industry and Thomson Reuters: Stay current on industry trends to inform HR practices and drive innovation Build a professional network and represent Thomson Reuters HR at external events Understanding Data and Creating Insight: Utilize metrics and analytics to guide management decisions and improve organizational performance Leverage Workday as a key platform for operational efficiency Linking Financial Performance to People Planning: Monitor financial performance to understand people implications and design HR responses accordingly About You You’re a fit for the role of Vice President, HRBP – Product Engineering if your background includes: 7-10 years of experience in HR as an HRBP, with technology transformation experience Proven experience in high-functioning software development/technology-based organizations Experience in supporting product engineering organizations, supporting the building of a culture of engineering excellence Experience supporting organizations with a track record of building technology products Strong consulting skills and strategic advisor with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Expertise in organizational design and change management Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural international environment Influential storyteller with strong interpersonal and communication skills Innovative mindset with experience in talent management and acquisition M&A experience is a plus Demonstrates learning agility and strong business acumen Critical Leadership Capabilities: Collaborating and Influencing: Build genuine partnerships and consensus across diverse teams Leading Change: Advocate for innovation and support leadership through business shifts #LI-LG1 Replacement: This position is open due to an existing vacancy to support our evolving business needs. Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $201,600 USD - $374,400 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
