We have an exciting opportunity for an HR & Recruitment Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. If you're highly organized, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the HR & Recruitment Coordinator supports talent acquisition and HR operations by assisting with recruitment activities, onboarding new hires, HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, and a variety of HR programs. These programs include the Business Services Summer Student Program, Take Our Kids to Work Day, and the firm's New Hire Program, which includes coordinating coffee chats, new hire lunches, the Stikeman Sidekick program, and new hire surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process by posting positions, scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, and communicating with candidates and hiring managers throughout the process.
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks and new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process by preparing onboarding schedules, coordinating new hire orientation, and ensuring all required onboarding activities are completed.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and candidate records within the firm's HR systems.

HR Administration:

  • Provide HR administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, including employee hires, transfers, promotions, leaves, and departures.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR files are accurate, complete, and confidential.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries and provide administrative support to employees and managers.

Performance Management:

  • Coordinate the annual performance review process, including system administration, tracking completion, and maintaining performance documentation.
  • Assist with performance review tracking and reporting.

Programs & Projects:

  • Support the coordination of the firm's New Hire Program, including coffee chats, new hire lunches, the Stikeman Sidekick program, and new hire surveys.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of the Business Services Summer Student Program.
  • Coordinate logistics for Take Our Kids to Work Day and other HR programs and initiatives, as assigned.

HR Reporting:

  • Maintain HR reports and recruitment metrics.
  • Assist with tracking key HR data, including recruitment activity, onboarding, and employee lifecycle metrics.

Other:

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned, consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree is required; post-secondary education in Human Resources is an asset.
  • 1-3 years of HR or related administrative experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration processes.
  • Ability to take initiative, learn new processes, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with technology and comfort working with HR systems and digital processes.

Salary Range (Toronto Only):

$50,000 - $60,000 annually. The posted salary range reflects the expected compensation for this role. Final offers are determined based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
