Job Description Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Human Resources, the Human Resources People Services Manager is responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of HR business processes enabled through Workday. The position ensures employee lifecycle transactions are processed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with legislation, collective agreements, and institutional policies. This position provides leadership and direction to People Services Delivery staff, monitors process effectiveness, manages escalated issues, and partners with stakeholders to ensure Workday business processes support operational and strategic objectives. This position is part of the leadership team providing expertise and strategic perspective on the services and supports we provide to our employees and leaders. The position is responsible for leadership, operational management and leading continuous improvement initiatives related to Workday-enabled People Services processes. The role ensures that Workday updates, enhancements, and issues are appropriately escalated and resolved. The HR People Services Manager identifies opportunities to standardize, simplify, and improve People Services business processes utilizing Workday functionality and participates in testing and validation of Workday releases, enhancements, and process changes from an operational and end-user perspective. Key Responsibilities Leadership and operational management Cross-departmental collaboration and issue resolution Oversees the effective use of Workday to support People Services business processes and service delivery Internal controls and system enhancements Audit support and compliance Evaluates complex operational issues and determines appropriate solutions within Workday business processes Exercises sound judgment, professionalism and integrity when dealing with sensitive issues Skills & Abilities Excellent leadership and teamwork skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and organization skills Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with various stakeholders Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, collective agreements, policies, audit findings, and Workday business processes Accountable for establishing service standards, and monitoring operational performance and compliance Ability to address sensitive employee and operational issues, escalate risks and process concerns, and provide decisive leadership to ensure compliance, data integrity, and effective resolution of complex matters Extensive knowledge of NAIT’s organizational structure, business operations, collective agreements, People Services Delivery policies, legislation, and business practices Thorough understanding of Workday-enabled People Services business processes and employee lifecycle transactions is required including hiring, onboarding, organizational assignment changes, compensation administration, leave management, workforce changes, and terminations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study 3-5 years related experience is required Experience working in HRIS , specifically strong working knowledge of Workday Equivalencies will be considered Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES). Remuneration Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
