Role Description The HR – Business Transformation & People Excellence Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and scaling a high-performance, compliant, and people-centric organization. This individual will lead the full spectrum of Human Resources, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Culture Transformation, Employee Engagement, and HR Governance while serving as a trusted business partner to the executive leadership team. As a key architect of organizational capability, the role will design and implement modern HR systems, structures, processes, and talent strategies that support the company's growth ambitions across natural health and pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical device distribution, cosmetics, and veterinary product related businesses. The incumbent will champion a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and employee development while ensuring the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent. The role requires a transformational leader capable of balancing strategic vision with operational execution in a highly regulated and rapidly growing environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the organization's growth objectives, operational priorities, and long-term business vision. Lead organizational design initiatives, workforce planning, restructuring projects, and business transformation programs to improve effectiveness and scalability. Establish and oversee best-in-class recruitment processes to attract high-caliber talent across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, PMO, supply chain, and corporate functions. Design and drive a high-performance culture through robust goal setting, performance reviews, capability assessments, succession planning, and accountability frameworks. Build leadership capability by implementing development programs, coaching frameworks, and succession pipelines for critical roles. Champion a values-driven culture that promotes employee engagement, collaboration, innovation, integrity, inclusion, and operational excellence. Develop competitive compensation, incentive, recognition, and benefits programs aligned with market practices and organizational objectives. Establish organizational learning strategies, technical training programs, competency frameworks, and career development pathways. Develop, review, and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and governance frameworks ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and company standards. Ensure full compliance with employment regulations, internal policies, and applicable standards relevant to natural health products, pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetic, and veterinary industries. Provide leadership in employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, investigations, and workplace risk management while fostering a positive work environment. Lead the implementation and optimization of HRIS platforms, digital HR processes, data management systems, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Act as the HR lead for organizational change initiatives, supporting communication, stakeholder engagement, adoption, and cultural alignment. Establish HR KPIs, service standards, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure an efficient, scalable, and business-focused HR function.

Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, manufacturing, life sciences, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in HR strategy, organizational development, talent management, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and change leadership. Strong understanding of labor legislation, HR governance, compliance requirements, and best people practices. Proven ability to lead organizational transformation, influence senior stakeholders, and build high-performing teams. Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect people strategies to business performance, productivity, quality, and growth outcomes. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, coaching, and presentation skills. Experience implementing and managing HRIS, talent management platforms, workforce analytics tools, and digital HR solutions.

Qualifications Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR), including HR Management and Personnel Management skills. Experience designing, implementing, and updating HR Policies and Employee Benefits programs. Proven ability to lead business transformation initiatives and drive people excellence across functions. Knowledge of employment legislation, HR compliance standards, and best practices in organizational development. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building capabilities. Demonstrated skills in change management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement. Analytical mindset with experience using HR data and metrics to support decision-making. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field; advanced HR certifications (e.g., CHRP/SHRM) are an asset. Ability to work on-site in Pickering, ON and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 Additional benefits and programs will be discussed during the hiring process.
