Role Description The Recruitment Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in North York, ON, responsible for managing end-to-end hiring processes for blue-collar positions. Day-to-day activities include sourcing candidates through multiple channels, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring decisions with clients and internal stakeholders. The role involves building and maintaining talent pipelines, organizing onboarding and training logistics for new hires, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. The Recruitment Specialist will also collaborate with clients to understand job requirements, support workforce planning, and maintain accurate recruitment records and reports. Qualifications Strong recruiting and hiring skills, with experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes. Proficiency in interviewing and candidate assessment to match skills and fit with role requirements. Excellent communication skills, including clear, professional verbal and written interactions with candidates and clients. Experience in organizing and supporting onboarding and training activities for new hires. Knowledge of blue-collar industries such as construction, manufacturing, logistics, waste and recycling, or hospitality is an asset. Ability to work on-site in North York, ON, and collaborate effectively with team members and client representatives. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and basic HR or staffing best practices; previous staffing agency experience is beneficial. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and recruitment experience.
